The Sprig and Fern Tinakori Rd Tavern in Thorndon is a marriage of the traditional English Pub with a classic Kiwi Taven. The S&F proudly has no TVs, no pokies and no pool tables, just great conversation and 19 taps of award winning craft beer and ciders. The tavern has a wide range of craft beers from Wai-iti Mid to Porter and also seasonal brews and ciders. The beer you drink in the tavern is brewed in the same way as the beer that won 12 medals at the Brewers’ Guild NZ International Beer Awards 2015, 11 medals at the BrewNZ International Beer Awards in 2013 and 4 medals at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2012.

We pour chilled beer from 19 taps.

We stock approximately 2 different bottled beers.

We have an Off-Licence to fill flagons on-site with our range of tap beer.

We offer a range of food that is designed to be enjoyed amongst friends. Our curly fries and hoki bite sandwiches are firm favourites, as well as our wood-fired pizzas and Siggy’s pies.
